Colorbond Profile Fencing and Colours

In the past, fencing manufacturers typically offered a limited range of color options, and unless you were willing to undertake a do-it-yourself paint job, choices were scarce. However, with Colorbond®, the story is different. Its durable 5-layer steel design is complemented by a powder-coated application available in a wide array of colors. Whether you prefer contemporary, classic, bold, or subtle shades, there is something to suit any property style. Moreover, there are various steel profiles to choose from, including different size ribs, allowing for further customization of the overall look.

Now that you’ve made the decision to opt for a Colorbond fence, let’s explore the range of colors and profiles you might want to consider when designing the ideal outer frame for your home.

Profiles

The availability of profiles may vary depending on the installation area. Trimclad is a classic design style for steel panels, offering various options for heights and widths. Once installed, the fencing exhibits a slightly different appearance on each side due to the wave-like ribs present on the panels.

The second commonly available type is called Medline. Metline panels have more ribs and have an identical appearance on both sides of the fence. However, compared to Trimclad panels, Metline panels come in limited options for panel width and height. Both designs, Trimclad and Metline, are available in a variety of colors, which we can explore further.

Colours

Whether you’re considering fencing for a professional medical center, a beach house, a farm-style home, or a modern build, Colorbond offers a wide range of colors to match your style and create the desired atmosphere for your property. It’s important to remember that the color you select for your Colorbond fence is a decision with long-term implications, so it’s crucial to ensure that it complements the other colors of your home’s exterior. Additionally, you may want to factor in how quickly the fence will show dirt if it’s installed in an area that is frequently exposed to dust, mud, or other forms of dirt.

Colorbond offers a versatile selection of colors that cater to various preferences and environments. Their palette encompasses a range of neutral and understated tones, including light beiges evoking the gentle touch of sea sand and greys that exude a professional aesthetic without overwhelming the senses. Moving towards deeper shades, there are darker greys that possess better dirt-concealing properties and dark brown hues reminiscent of river sand and elegant jasper. To seamlessly blend with surrounding greenery, Colorbond provides gentle and subdued options like pale eucalypt green, as well as a darker wilderness green that remains easy on the eyes and is perfect for outdoor relaxation spaces.

Taking inspiration from stormy skies and the impressive colors found in majestic mountains, ironstone shades offer darker tones with hints of blue. This distinctive color adds depth and character to any space. Complementing Ironstone, the range includes two other darker shades: Monument and Forest Grey. These sophisticated tones evoke a modern atmosphere, making them particularly suitable for city properties and contemporary architectural designs.

Color options have expanded to include a deep, dark red, which is particularly suitable for roofing purposes. In addition, deep sea blue and cottage green are available choices. However, it is important to note that color selection for exterior home furnishings may be subject to restrictions depending on location and property type. Hence, will set your home apart from others in the area.

Colour Technology

Most colors in the contemporary and classic color range are designed with Thermatech® solar reflection technology.

The technology referred to as solar heat reflection helps reduce the amount of heat absorbed from the sun by reflecting it off the panels. This innovative approach effectively lowers the surface temperature of the material, surpassing the cooling capabilities of conventional steel products.

The specialized technology enhances the thermal efficiency of the material while maintaining its original color appearance. This is particularly crucial when the fence is installed around areas such as a barbecue or outdoor relaxation space, carport, or entry gate. It is essential to ensure that the steel components do not intensify heat absorption during hot sunny days, which could potentially cause discomfort or other issues.
